ICT4D symposium for postgraduate researchers

The 7th Annual Symposium of the International Network for Postgraduate Students in the area of ICT4D (IPID) will be held 5-6 September, 2012 at University of Agder (UiA), Kristiansand, Norway.

The symposium will provide postgraduate researchers with the opportunity to present their work to a diverse audience and gain valuable experience. It is also an opportunity for young scientists to network and engage with international ICT4D scholars . The symposium will consist of two parts – paper presentations and interactive panels focusing on both professional and academic related questions (e.g. getting published, working in the field of ICT4D, ethical and moral issues in ICT4D research and implications/possibilities of ICT for Development).

Registration is until August 30, 2012. Compulsory registration fees: €115 (non-refundable). IPID is a network of postgraduate students doing research in ICT4D and operates through inter alia support to doctoral and master students and increased visibility at international conferences. The network is administered by the School of Business (Informatics) at the Örebro University and funded by the SPIDER/SIDA
