Updates to the IAMCR Madrid 2019

Registration to the IAMCR (International Association for Media and Communication Research) Madrid conference to be held on 7-11 July 2019 at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain is now open.

A total of 3,700 abstracts from authors in 104 different countries were received by the Conference Organizing Committee. However, only 1,500 participants can be accommodated this year. Interested participants are encouraged to register early and avail of the earlybird fees until May 7. Accepted papers will be announced by March 28.

The conference program as well as the other plenary speakers has also been released. The current roster of plenary speakers include: Javier Goma (Director, Juan March Foundation Madrid),  Katharine Sarikakis (Chair of Media Governance, University of Vienna and Head, Media Governance and Industries Research Lab), Malavika Jayaram (Executive Director, Digital Asia Hub), Monroe E. Price (Adjunct Full Professor, Annenberg School for Communication and the Joseph and Sadie Danciger Professor of Law and Director, Howard M. Squadron Program in Law, Media, and Society, Cardozo School of Law), and Yoani Sanchez Cordero (journalist and philologist).
