The Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) is one of thePhilippines' rice research institutes. PhilRice plays a key role in building and sustaining a competitive rice economy through research into farming systems, technology, and policy-making.
Capacity develompent initiatives: Philrice is ngaged in the production of IEC materials in science communication, research and technology dissemination, and science popularization,as well as use of knowledge management and design and publication of KM products. PhilRice also conducts regular and customized trainings and manages the K-Agrinet along with other initiatives.

Course: MA in Media Practice for Development and Social Change
This course equips students with practical skills in mobile media, radio, documentary and/or photography and interactive media and gives you a critical foundation in development and media theory.
This MA offers a forum for critical debates on development and social change and analysis of the contemporary global media landscape. It includes a practical project and culminates in a professional placement, an independent media project engaging with real-world issues, or a written dissertation.

The ICT4D Collective was initiated in 2004 and is a group of people committed to undertaking the highest possible quality of research in the field of ICT4D, and making the results of this available freely to the global community. This is done primarily in the interests of poor people and marginalised communities, wherever they may be found.
Based at Royal Holloway, University of London, the Collective draws on the expertise of staff in the academic Departments and Schools of Geography, Computer Science, Management, Mathematics (Information Security Group) and the New Political Communication Unit in Politics and International Relations, as well as in the Information Services Department and the Educational Development Centre.
