XIII UN Inter-Agency Roundtable on ComDev

With the purpose of upholding the fundamental role of ComDev in fostering dialogue, ownership and the active participation of stakeholders in development programmes, FAO is hosting from 16- 18 September 2014 the XIII UN Inter-Agency Roundtable on Communication for Development under the title: “Mainstreaming Communication for Development in Policies and Programmes. 8th ITU Symposium on ICTs, Environment and Climate Change

Turin, Italy, will host the 8th Symposium on ICTs, the Environment and Climate Change organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). It will be held on 6-7 May 2013 at Telecom Italia’s innovation laboratories. Following the successful events held between 2008 and 2012 in Kyoto, London, Quito, Seoul, Cairo, Accra and Montreal, this years’ edition will be dedicated to the theme of Smart Sustainable Cities and will focus on the need for smart green ICT

Call for women-led activities addressing Climate Change

The United Nations Climate Change secretariat is calling for women-led activities that address climate change to be selected and showcased under an initiative called Momentum for Change: Women for Results. These “lighthouse activities” will demonstrate measurable impact on the ground, and the potential for replicability and scaleability at the local, national and international levels.
