The Asian Institute for Development Communication (Aidcom) is an independent regional, non-profit media organisation accredited to the United Nations. Aidcom aims to contribute to equitable human development in the Asia Pacific region (including Malaysia and ASEAN Countries) through the implementation of development communication and media training programmes. Since 1990 Aidcom publishes The Journal of Development Communication.

Capacity development initiatives: Aidcom conducts conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums and colloquia to increase the human resource base for sustained economic growth of the region. Its multi-disciplinary programmes are connected to issues such as: media and their role in development; development communication and journalism; environment and sustainable sevelopment.
