The Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador, CONAIE is an organization that brings together the Nationalities, Peoples, communities, Centers and indigenous Associations of Ecuador. Their mission include strengthening their identity and their forms of social organization; strengthening bilingual intercultural education; fighting for the defense of lands, indigenous territories and natural resources; consolidating the indigenous peoples and nationalities of the country; promoting the exercise of the Collective Rights of Indigenous Peoples and Nationalities of Ecuador, recognized in the Political Constitution of the Republic; achieving equality and justice in indigenous peoples and nationalities etc.
