Communication for Sustainable Social Change (CSSC) Centre

The Communication for Sustainable Social Change (CSSC) is an independent organization created as a “Center of Excellence” within the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, the flagship school of the state’s five-campus university system.

Course Title: Communication for Development and Social Change 

Description: The center offers undergraduate and graduate courses, seminars, and workshops in areas such as participatory communication for development, new media technologies and social change, and the ethnography of communication. In particular, the course on Communication for Development and Social Change in two parts explores the history and theory as well as the strategies and policies of communication for social change.
