The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), ComDev Asia, and Yenkasa Africa organized back-to-back Virtual Participatory Video (PV) Training in Agri-Food Systems and Digital Environments for Asia-Pacific and Africa from Nov. 19- Dec. 2, 2024 via Zoom.
The training was based on FAO’s Participatory Video guide and e-learning course and was done in partnership with Digital Green and the University of the Philippines Los Baños College of Development Communication for the ComDev Asia and YenKasa Africa initiatives.
Twenty-two (22) participants from nine countries in Asia and 15 participants from Africa completed the training.
To enhance sharing and collaboration, all participants were invited to follow-up activities and to stay connected through the WhatApp community of practice. The first follow-up webinar was held on December 9 for Africa and December 10 for Asia. Participants presented their PV Plan for their organizations and resource persons provided suggestions and recommendations.
In the last three years, FAO and partners have held PV trainings in Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Latin America.
