Malmö University was a pioneer in the use of an Internet-based distance-learning platform. With a mix of online discussion and webcast seminars, the ComDev graduate program is accessible to students globally.

Course Title: Master in Communication for Development

2-year half-time study program that combines courses on culture, communication, and development and integrates them with practical fieldwork. It explores the use of communication – as a tool and as a way of expressing social change – within the contexts of globalization, to give students the skills to work with media and communication in international developmental cooperation or other areas.

Course title: Advances in Communication for Development: Social Action, Planning, and Evaluation

Part of the Master’s program but specifically tailored for development and communication professionals who wish to enhance their skill-set and strengthen the academic foundations supporting their professional practice. This part-time course is taught over one term using distance learning online formats together with three in-situ weekend seminars – can be studied completely at a distance if required.
