The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kenya promotes traditional, high-value drought-resistant crops to cope with climate change challenges. This involves bulking of various crops and distributing to farmers in identified districts.

One of the MoA training units is Embu Agricultural Staff Training (East) College. It is committed to enhancing capacity building for effective and efficient management of agriculture sector through the provision of agricultural management and technical training.

Capacity development initiatives: Training of trainers,  participatory project monitoring and evaluation for climate change and sustainable agriculture projects, a research consultancy, seminars, and workshops facilitation.
