Centre for Communication, Media and Society (CCMS)

The CCMS is the Southern African region’s premier graduate research and educational unit in media studies, which focuses on policy research and development support for communication projects in the context of reconstruction and policy studies. It offers a two-year interdisciplinary programme in Communication, Media and Society combining the areas of culture and media within the context of the developing world, covering both the Honours and Masters degrees.

Course Title: Research MA and PhD in Communication for Participatory Development

Description: Masters and Doctoral studies in this research track incorporate development and public health communication, communication for social change and entertainment education.
They are geared towards action research relating to public health communication (using print and broadcast media, participatory drama, etc) and related development support communication issues in the Southern African context.
