USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism

The USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism is an innovative, full-service school in a networked university bringing multidisciplinary approaches to the study of communication, journalism, public diplomacy, and public relations.

Course Title: MA and Ph.D. in Communication; MA in Global Communication (in conjunction with the London School of Economics)

Description: The graduate program allows students to explore the theoretical and practical issues involved in conducting communication research or designing effective media and communication projects. The course on Communication for International Development compares traditional communication programs and newer ICTs for analyzing the needs of international communities and designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating development-related projects. Additional courses include Designing Media and Communication Projects for Social Change; Advocacy and Social Change in Entertainment and the Media; Gender, Media and Communication; Visual Communication and social change; Communication Strategies for Conflict Management; Media in Social Services: Design and Evaluation of Campaigns.
