Communication and Family Farming: radio campaign launched

In the context of the 2014 International Year of Family Farming (IYFF), FAO and the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) just launched an awareness campaign targeted at farmers’ organizations and the rural population. Community radio is used as a platform to share information with the farming community and involve them further in the discussion regarding the key role that family farming plays in economic and social development. IAMCR Pre-conference on Communication for Rural Development

The pre-conference “COMMUNICATION FOR SUSTAINABLE RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL CHANGE” is organized by Wageningen University and the Participatory Communication Research section of the IAMCR in cooperation with Digital Green in India, the universities of Queensland, Reading, Guelph and Hong Kong (CityU), and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. It will take place in Hyderabad, India, Monday 14 July 2014, prior to the annual conference of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR). The pre-conference aims to
