VIII Global Conference on Family Farming to be held March 19-21

The VIII Global Conference on Family Farming will be held on March 19 to 21, 2024 at the Palacio Europa Conference Center. The event will also be live-streamed on social media (link to be announced soon).

The world faces colossal challenges that range from the climate crisis and the energy crisis to the urgent need to guarantee the economic, social, and environmental sustainability of our agri-food systems. Furthermore, we are facing levels of hunger and poverty that have not been seen in the last 20 years. Faced with this complex reality, the World Rural Forum (WRF) is preparing to hold its VIII Global Conference Family Farming: Sustainability of Our Planet.

This VIII Global Conference on Family Farming promises to be a momentous event that will address critical issues for the future of our planet—a call to action, a platform for collaboration and an opportunity for the most representative people in the field of family farming from around the world to address together the most pressing challenges of our time.

The WRF has organized seven previous Global Conferences, all of them with the participation of people with expertise and highly competent representatives of governments, international organizations, research centers, family farming organizations, cooperatives and development NGOs from the five continents. These meetings have been fundamental in defining priorities for action at the international level and have left a lasting mark.
