AMARC Brazil is conducting a series of regional seminars on regulatory frameworks and right to communicate. The seminars aim at empowering civil society and promoting joint work leading to the establishment of a new legislation that allows for the exercise of communication rights and freedom of expression.
From May 11 to 13, 2012 the Casa da Cultura of Arroio do Sal (Rio Grande do Sul) hosted a seminar under the theme “A new law for community radio: the regulatory framework and the right to communicate”. Maria Pia Matta, President of AMARC and Michael Camilleri, Special Rapporteur on freedom of expression of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, graced the event.
The seminar was free and broadcast on the website of Tupancy FM Community Radio.
